Senior Accountant / Associate, Tax - Audit
Job Description
Our client is a fast growing Accounting / Financial services firm located in Commerce
As part of their growth strategic plans, we are looking to place a Senior Accountant / Associate, Tax - Audit.
Every one of their professionals possesses significant tax, audit, and general accounting experience.
The clients are a diverse group of industries including franchise and non-franchise restaurants, distributors, equipment manufacturers, food processors, retail and food stores, medical and dental offices, commercial and sport fishing operations, real estate developers and investors, and golf courses
We are currently seeking a motivated individual with their CPA licensure and tax preparation experience for a full-time position with growth opportunities.
This position is eligible for 401(k), profit sharing plan, medical insurance, vacation time, and sick time benefits.
Duties
  1. Review and/or prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
  2. Review and/or prepare compilation engagements:
  3. Establishing and maintaining client communications
  4. Preparing compilation programs
  5. Reviewing and analyzing financial statements
  6. Assure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
  7. May supervise staff associates and ensure adherence to firm-established internal and quality controls

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skill Set
  1. Robust interpersonal, communication and project management skills required
  2. Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance; fulfillment of accounting courses a must
  3. Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks as well as tax software (proficiency in Lacerte preferred)
  5. Must already have CPA certification
