Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

AI & Model Development:

  • Build, fine-tune, and operationalize AI/ML models to support integration scenarios such as:
  • EDI document classification
  • Automated mapping suggestions
  • Schema inference
  • Exception detection and anomaly identification
  • Intelligent routing and transformation
  • Develop pipelines for training, testing, and deploying models using Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, or equivalent services.
  • Collaborate with integration architects to embed AI capabilities into EDI workflows and integration pipelines.
EDI & Integration Engineering
  • Lead the migration of BizTalk EDI interfaces to Azure Integration Services, including:
  • Azure Logic Apps (EDI & B2B connectors)
  • Azure API Management
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Functions
  • Integration Accounts
  • Rebuild or modernize EDI schemas, maps, trading partner configurations, and agreements.
  • Implement secure, scalable, and resilient B2B/EDI solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Troubleshoot EDI transactions (X12, EDIFACT) and integration failures across environments.
Architecture & Solution Design
  • Partner with architects to design end-to-end integration solutions that combine:
  • AI-driven automation
  • Cloud-native integration patterns
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and patterns for AI-enabled integration modernization.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and governance requirements.
  • Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work closely with business, integration, and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Produce technical documentation, mapping specifications, and deployment guides.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of integration and AI development practices.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years in enterprise integration, including hands-on experience with BizTalk Server and EDI.
  • 2+ years working with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Integration Account).
  • Experience building or fine-tuning AI/ML models using Python, Azure ML, or Azure OpenAI.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT), schemas, maps, and trading partner setups.
  • Proficiency in JSON, XML, XSLT, Liquid templates, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience automating EDI mapping or transformation using AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Event Grid, Event Hub).
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices and model lifecycle management.
  • Experience with data engineering tools (Databricks, Synapse).
