CHIAย seeksย aย highly organized, hands-onย technicalย leaderย to serve in the Data Services organization as theย Data Integration Manager.ย This is a Player-Coachย role reportingย directly to theย Associateย Directorย of Master Data Management.ย 

Theย Dataย Integrationย Managerย is responsible forย managingย a team of 5-6ย data engineersย while activelyย participatingย in development work. You will overseeย ourย ETL processes,ย design and writeย ETL code as needed,ย andย manageย theย teamย to build scalable data solutionsย within ourย Talend and Snowflake environments.ย Theย ideal candidateย is someone who wants toย maintainย their technical depthย andย balanceย some amount ofย hands-on workย whileย providingย technical guidanceย so thatย team members are supported in their professional growthย andย projects are delivered successfully.ย 

This role is a key member of theย Data Servicesย team, helping to advanceย agency priorities, strengthenย ourย operational execution, andย supporting the organization's enterprise data platforms and analytics capabilities.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesโ€ฏย 

Asย Data Integrationย Manager, you will have the opportunity toโ€ฏย 

People Leadership & Team Developmentย ย 

  • Maintain your technical acuity by actively designing and developing code in our Talend (Qlik) data integration and management platform against a Snowflake cloud data platform while providing direction to the team.ย 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-6ย data engineers and integration developers.ย 

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development discussions.ย 

  • Establish clear goals, expectations, and accountability measures for team members.ย 

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, innovation, and customer service.ย 

  • Balance team workloads and priorities to ensure sustainable delivery and operational support.ย 

  • Identifyย skill gaps and create development plans to strengthen team capabilities.ย 

  • Support employee engagementย and inclusivityย initiatives and promote a positive team culture.ย 

Delivery & Project Leadershipย ย 

  • Leadย the execution of data integration, platform enhancement, and modernization initiatives.ย 

  • Partnerย with Associate Director to coordinate project activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.ย 

  • Manage project priorities, resource allocation, timelines, and risks, ensuring that commitments are realistic, understood, and consistently met.ย 

  • Communicate clear status updates to leadership and stakeholders while driving continuous improvement in delivery and operational processes.ย

  • Qualificationsโ€ฏย 

Requiredโ€ฏย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,ย or Data Science.ย 

  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in data engineering, data integration, analytics platforms, or related technical disciplines.ย 

  • Twoย or more years of directย peopleย leadership experience.ย 

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering concepts.ย 

  • Experience supporting enterprise data integration, ETL/ELT, or data warehouse environments.ย 

  • Demonstrated success leading technical teams in a complex enterprise environment.ย 

  • Experienceย managing technical projects and cross-functional initiatives.ย 

  • Effective communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.ย 

Preferredโ€ฏย 

  • Experience withย Qlikย Talend,ย IBM DataStage,ย Snowflake, or similar enterprise data platforms.ย 

  • Threeย yearsโ€™ experienceย working for a health data organization.ย 

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare data governance, and compliance requirements.ย 

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.ย

Total Compensation:โ€ฏย 

We value the talent andย expertiseย you bring toย this role andย offer a competitive salary range of $115,000โ€“$130,000. Salary will beย commensurateย with experience.ย CHIA may adjustย theย title, responsibilities, and salaryย basedย on the experience andย expertiseย of the individual selected.ย
