Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery; Multimedia Support; and Technical System Support.
Systems Engineer Job Description
Gromelski and Associates is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the planning, coordination, integration, and execution of complex technical activities within a mission-critical environment. This position will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, and program stakeholders to coordinate submarine test events, track integration activities, oversee system installations, and ensure program milestones are completed on schedule and within scope.
The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating complex technical events, leading cross-functional engineering teams, and using Jira and Confluence to manage schedules, assignments, technical issues, and program status.
Required:
  • Event coordination expertise: Scheduling and managing complex on-site and off-site submarine test events, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Jira/Confluence tracking expertise: Administering Jira dashboards and Confluence calendars to assign tasks, monitor progress, and generate status reports for multi-disciplinary integration teams, driving transparency and rapid issue resolution.
  • Team-lead expertise: Leading cross-functional technical teams, assigning responsibilities, overseeing build installations and integration activities.

Preferred:
User-interface expertise: Familiar with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting human-machine interfaces for complex systems, ensuring intuitive operation and seamless integration.
Operational platform expertise: Experience working with mission-critical equipment in demanding environments, providing support, maintenance, and rapid issue resolution to keep assets mission-ready.
Concept-development expertise: Skilled at creating and refining high-level operational concepts, translating stakeholder goals into actionable plans and guiding implementation across teams.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple technical activities simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
