MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team located in the Fort Meade, MD area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level virtualized environments and infrastructure.
  • Provide full-lifecycle systems administration for hardware and software across development, test, and production environments.
  • Deploy and maintain IT automation solutions to streamline operational tasks within secure, isolated network architectures.
  • Engineer and optimize scalable storage solutions and complex file system configurations.
  • Author and present technical program documentation and briefings for senior-level management and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 14+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience; or an Associate's degree with 19+ years' experience.
  • Extensive experience with Linux administration and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and infrastructure automation using Ansible or SaltStack.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and observability tools (nxLog, Grafana).
  • Experience orchestrating enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere) or Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
  • Experience with NiFi for data flow and log aggregation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced scripting in Python or Perl.
  • Proficiency in PKI certificate management and hardware security modules.
  • Experience implementing automated security hardening (STIGs/CIS).

Clearance Requirement: 

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.

The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
