Job description

About the Role:

Dr. Squatch is looking for an Associate Director of Business Systems to lead the development, management, and optimization of our core business systems and integrations ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring our systems align with business objectives, drive efficiencies, and scale with company growth. The Associate Director will own the team's roadmap, drive cross-functional alignment, and develop and execute strategic programs aligned with company goals and OKRs.

The ideal candidate is a leader who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

This role will report to the Senior Director, Technology.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $150,000 to $175,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Systems engineers and analysts
    • Drive clarity across the team on priorities, ownership, and expectations
    • Run effective sprint planning, retrospectives, and team meetings that keep them aligned
  • Strategy & Roadmap
    • Own and maintain a 12-month roadmap for the Business Systems team, incorporating input from stakeholders across Finance, Operations, eCommerce, and Retail
    • Define and communicate quarterly OKRs and focus topics, ensuring alignment between team goals and company priorities
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, reduce manual work, and scale operations
    • Assess future business needs, perform cost-benefit analyses, and make recommendations for system enhancements
    • Stay ahead of emerging technologies, including AI and automation, and bring a point of view on where and how to apply them within the team
  • Systems & Integrations
    • Own the end-to-end health and reliability of our enterprise systems ecosystem, including platforms like NetSuite, Celigo, Boomi, Shopify, Orderful,
    • Ensure integrations are well-documented, monitored, and maintained, with clear escalation paths
    • Lead complex, cross-functional system initiatives from scoping through delivery, maintaining proactive communication with all stakeholders throughout
  • Operations & Accountability
    • Establish and maintain a structured help desk and ticketing process (JIRA) that provides visibility into request volume, response times, and delivery performance
    • Provide regular reporting to leadership on team performance, project status, and key metrics
    • Drive a culture of proactive communication, flagging risks early, following through on commitments, and closing the loop without being prompted

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a people management role
  • Deep knowledge of ERPs and integration platforms such as Celigo and Boomi
  • Experience owning a team roadmap and translating business needs into a prioritized plan
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from scoping through delivery, with strong project management skills
  • Strong communicator who leads with clarity and keeps stakeholders informed proactively
  • Experience implementing or scaling help desk and ticketing processes (JIRA preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a point of view on how they can improve team efficiency
  • Highly organized with strong project management instincts, who is able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • You can get things done without perfect resources, are innovative, and work with a sense of urgency
