Position Summary...As the Principal Systems and Infrastructure Engineer for Information Security, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable architectures aligned with business and technology strategies. This role involves developing automation solutions, optimizing infrastructure performance, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will analyze system requirements, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across teams to enhance system reliability and security. Your expertise in coding, risk management, and infrastructure maintenance will support the delivery of robust, high-availability solutions that meet evolving organizational needs and industry best practices.

The team specializes in securing complex enterprise environments by designing and implementing advanced IoT and OT security solutions. It manages a wide range of devices including sensors, cameras, robots, and industrial automation platforms while ensuring compliance with security standards. Focused on collaboration, the team develops scalable, secure infrastructure aligned with business objectives. Members apply expertise in security controls, network management, and software development to protect critical systems and maintain operational resilience across Walmart’s technology landscape. • Design, build, and maintain internal security tooling, dashboards, and automation solutions that support the OT/IoT security program
• Own end-to-end CI/CD pipeline architecture and operations for the team’s applications — including pipeline design, build automation, environment promotion, and release management
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that integrate security platforms (asset management, vulnerability tracking, compliance reporting) with enterprise data sources
• Define and enforce software development standards for the team: branching strategy, code review process, testing requirements, and deployment gates
• Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to translate operational needs into maintainable, production-quality software
• Provide technical mentorship to team members; drive adoption of engineering best practices

What you'll bring:

• Extensive knowledge of information systems security and infrastructure security principles.
• Proficiency in Risk Management Framework and security risk and compliance review processes.
• Strong experience with automation, scripting languages such as Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design scalable, modular architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Expertise in infrastructure maintenance, capacity management, and performance tuning.
• Skilled in coding standards, software development tools, and telemetry implementation.
• Proven capability to analyze requirements, prioritize solutions, and drive continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
