CompanyFederal Reserve Bank of MinneapolisOur Technology Division is looking for an Engineer, MuleSoft/Salesforce. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is one of the 12 Banks in the United States. The four main areas we focus on is Monetary Policy, Banking and Supervision, Financial Service and Community Development and Outreach.
Please note: This is not a remote position. Onsite work is an essential function of this position.
In this role you will work on a team to support US Treasury's Retail Securities operation - which provides critical financial services to the American Public.
This role supports and enhances core software systems that support that operation.
Additionally, will be working primarily on the MuleSoft components associated with a new Salesforce implementation to develop and support integrations with legacy systems as well as modern enterprise solutions and other evolving cloud-based solutions being developed by the US Treasury.

Candidates must bring experience in Salesforce platform, including best-practices and technical familiarity, and be able to deliver complex solutions and new features on that platform.

Job Description

In this role you will be expected to provide thought-leadership around best-practices for the MuleSoft platform, support existing configurations and integrations, and take a hands-on role in developing new API's, integrations, and automation to support new features and capabilities on the Salesforce platform and within the Retail Securities space.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform resolution of complex and critical hardware, environmental software operating systems and subsystems. Lead efforts in problem avoidance actions.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and assist in the facilitation of team management by directing the work of, and setting technical direction for, other team members in an open, positive, and collaborative manner.

  • Provide cross functional leadership by influencing technology decisions across the district and/or the greater Federal Reserve System.

  • Develop problem resolution for application software or hardware as needed. Conduct research and testing to determine cause and makes necessary corrections.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and select new software/hardware. Review existing system logic and makes recommendations to documentation as necessary.

  • Prepare detailed specifications from which applications programs will be written. Analyze and revises existing system logic and documentation as necessary.

  • Work with diverse technologies to design, build (code), test, debug, document, implement and maintain solutions and/or patterns for existing and new systems or hardware within the boundaries of existing standards, processes, or operational plans.

  • Perform change and problem management using standard tools following system change management policies and procedures for software/hardware propagation to other platforms and/or environments. Ensure conformance with existing system capability. Measure performance to ensure proper operation.

  • May authorize high risk level changes and recommend solutions to minimize and/or prevent system interruption.

  • Lead critical and highly technical/complex projects utilizing FRIT, System, or local staff and resources.

  • Follow and ensures adherence to technical standards for programming and design techniques. Train technical staff on use of software /hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures. Contribute to development and revision of department standards and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines.

Required qualifications for Engineer at our Advanced level:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant work experience OR

  • Master's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience OR

  • Associate degree and a minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant work experience

Full Salary range for job profile Engineer, Adv:Engineer Advanced $124,900- $156,102- $187,300
