Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Associate Platform Engineer in West Palm Beach, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
* Learn and contribute to production infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
* Assist in building and maintaining cloud-native services across VKE VLB and VCR
* Develop hands-on skills with Kubernetes and container runtimes through guided project work
* Write and improve tooling and scripts (Go, Python, Bash) to support platform operations
* Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for platform services
* Dig into issues across networking containers and Linux systems with curiosity and persistence
* Contribute to Vultr's open-source tools and libraries with guidance from senior engineers
* Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as you build operational experience
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
* Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, Bash or similar)
* Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line operations
* Interest in cloud infrastructure containers and Kubernetes (prior experience not required)
* Strong problem-solving instincts and willingness to dig into unfamiliar systems
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
