Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering effort from concept to productization leveraging experience and acumen in hardware engineering, electrical control requirements, and chemical kinetics to propose innovative yet elegant solutions to achieve system goals.
  • Drive experiments, simulation efforts, and design feasibility studies to validate performance of functional design elements.
  • Work with a team of engineers and scientists from relevant departments to achieve results.
  • Generate specifications and documentation for new systems and third-party efforts.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Hands-on transfer of processes to operations team.
  • Work with computational physics engineers and scientists to optimize system performance and mitigate system risks.
  • Solid understanding of design for safety (i.e., Semi S2, NFPA, etc.)
  • Interface with tool development partners and suppliers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering + minimum of 3 years of related experience (semiconductor OEM, refinery, powder, nanomaterials, etc.) OR master's degree in engineering. + minimum of 1 year of related experience (semiconductor OEM, refinery, powder, nanomaterials, etc.).
  • Strong skills and experience in plasma-based systems RF & microwave.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD systems, CFD, heat transfer, chemical kinetics simulations.
  • Proven record of system development from the ground up, vacuum systems, gas and liquid chemical delivery, extreme temperature design, gas-phase reactions, chemical vapor deposition.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying analytical techniques to propose concepts, design of experiment or method, evaluate feasibility, characterize, and improve systems, and release high volume manufactured equipment.
  • Must demonstrate deep understanding of designing for safety and DfX.
  • Strong skills and experience in problem solving, time and priority management, communication, and project management is expected.
  • Good communication skills for interfacing with a multidiscipline technical team and present program updates, design reviews, test data, and NPI plans to upper management.

  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Compensations Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$116,600.00 - $175,000.00
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
