Job Location: Greenville, TX

Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Role will require "on-call" availability during nights and weekends, with potential requirement to come on site during overnight hours.

Job Description:

The Senior Associate, Systems Engineer (SE) will be responsible for performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and/or subsystems. The ideal candidate will have experience with systems engineer/architect work with a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) environment alongside other highly motivated engineering team members.

The SE is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne platforms.

Essential Functions:

  • Translate the voice of the customer into system-level requirements.
  • Perform requirement traceability, and verification testing.
  • Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
  • Write subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements.
  • Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
  • Create System Block Diagrams.
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Interpret complex system ICDs to new architecture designs.
  • Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
  • Write effective verification test procedures to ensure system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) environment.
  • Working knowledge of LAN and VOIP protocols to include IP routing.
  • Knowledge of mission systems: EO/IR, Video, Networks, SI/EW, Avionics Interfaces, etc.
  • Troubleshooting and multi-level testing and analysis of various electrical signal interfaces and RF systems.
  • Knowledge of requirement traceability methods and purpose, and the systems engineering trade study process.
  • Working with subcontractors and U.S. Government customers.
  • Developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans.
  • Engineering efforts involving FAA-certified general category aircraft.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
  • Travel: this role will require up to approximately 25% travel once the candidate has been fully trained and ascimilated to the role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
  • Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
  • In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
  • Demonstrated 2 or more years of hands-on experience with systems engineering, configuration, testing, integrating, and/or verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain mobile airborne datalink, video, voice and data communication systems environment.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
