Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position. In this role, you will support national security by maintaining critical enterprise infrastructure, troubleshooting site outages, and executing dual network and system administration, including direct support for the 0100-0900 morning shift to ensure continuous operational readiness and incident response support. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Administer, configure, and maintain Windows servers, workstations, domain controllers, cloud resources, VMware, and enterprise storage.
* Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot KG-175 (TACLANE) cryptographic inline network encryptors, troubleshoot network connectivity, baseline routers/switches, and perform rapid troubleshooting for critical site outages.
* Perform user account management, log and triage ticketing system incidents, and resolve or escalate technical issues.
* Perform automated patching, vulnerability remediation (ACAS/Nessus), system hardening, and media transfers in coordination with the ISSO.
* Perform remote site surveys, identify hardware and cabling requirements, configure baseline hardware, and handle equipment shipping and inventory.
* Ability to consistently work the assigned 0100-0900 morning shift (including potential weekend or holiday coverage) and travel up to 25%, both CONUS and OCONUS as required Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of information technology or related experience; an Associates degree with 6+ years of related experience, or High School Diploma with 10+ years of related experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree
* DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance required (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
* 2+ years of direct experience in a Network Administrator or Systems Administrator role.
* 4+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise Windows infrastructure, ex., AD, DHCP, DNS, NTP, CA, GPO or WSUS
* Experience configuring and managing TACLANE family encryptors
* Experience troubleshooting site outages, routing or switching issues and performing user account resets and management. Preferred Qualifications * Degree in IT/Cybersecurity from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution.
* DoD 8140.03 Intermediate Certification (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, or GSEC) or military equivalent.
* ITIL v4 Foundations or MCSA certifications.
* Demonstrated technical proficiency with VMware/ESXi virtualization, patch management, Linux (RHEL) familiarity, SIEM tools, and backup/recovery protocols. Clearance Requirements * Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to submit to a polygraph. Physical Requirements * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* Must be able to move within the office to access machinery and communicate effectively via virtual/phone platforms.
* Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
