Job Description:

Responsible for the architecture and design of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Establishes standards and requirements, evaluates and directs enhancements, and implements solutions for performance monitoring, and systems configuration, design and implementation.
Designs and develops ERP architecture requirements and specifications to meet business needs. Responsible for the enterprise technology roadmap related to ERP systems. Works with management, consultants, developers and users to prioritize enhancements and resolutions. Prepares analysis of costs, timing and business impact of implementing new ERP applications or tools. Leads elements of large and complex projects involving systems design and implementation. Monitors and maintains ERP systems configuration, software, operating systems and third party components. May be responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. Solves highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects, and provides consultative support to internal staff. Ensures successful completion of ERP administration responsibilities including systems integration, operating system configuration, application configuration, tuning, scheduling jobs, monitoring and installation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience, and at least 8 years of increasingly complex ERP administration or a combination of at least 5 years of applicable ERP administration plus 3 or more years in Database or Unix/Linux Systems administration in a business environment is required.
Requires a good understanding of the business impact of assigned ERP systems. Must be able to design and implement ERP systems enhancements that meet business requirements. Expert knowledge of ERP system integration and interaction with the applicable database technologies and operating systems and applicable third-party applications which may include but not limited to scheduling, monitoring, tax calculation, various presentation, communication and integration software components as well as middleware and java application servers. Effective verbal and written communication of technical information to users, technical teams and management. Able to motivate and guide teams.

 

Required Skills:

5+ Years of the following:

  • Overall architecture and knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems.
  • Manhattan Associates Warehouse and Transportation Systems Infrastructure Design, Administration, and Configuration.
  • Manhattan Associates System Integration with SAP.

 

Additional Experience Preferred:

  • J2EE Server Installation, Tuning, Troubleshooting, High Performance and High Availability design techniques.
  • Server, Network and Database Performance and Availability Design techniques.
  • Middleware integration, performance and availability design.
  • Effective use and configuration of application and infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting tool.
  • System documentation tools.
