Description
About The Role:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking an Associate Model Based Systems Engineer to be part of our team and based out of our Mount Laurel, NJ location.
Clearance & Location Requirements:
  • All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • This is an on-site position. Requiring 5 days in office, based out of our Mount Laurel, NJ.

Key Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
  • Develop system models to support software development using SysML v2 and Agentic AI to generate:
    • Requirements
    • Use Cases, Verification Cases, Analysis Cases
    • Structural and Behavioral Architectures
  • Work on a project ACTIVELY using SysML v2 for development
  • Develop plugins using the SysML v2 API spec
  • Model using Cameo Enterprise Architecture 2026x (CATIA Magic)
  • Work with MBSE + SysML v2 thought leaders
  • Work on frontier, cutting-edge projects for forward-thinking customers

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, or equivalent full-time professional experience.
  • 0-3 years of full-time professional experience in MBSE, Digital Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as needed

Optional:
  • Experience creating plugins using an MBSE Modeling Tool's API (Cameo/MagicDraw)
  • Experience modeling using Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
  • OMG SysML v2 Model User Certification
  • OMG OCSMP SysML v1 Certification(s)
  • Knowledge of Navy testing programs, practices, and assets
  • System integration and test experience for complex software applications including experience with software testing tools (commercial or bespoke applications)

Pay Range*: $74,000-$116,000 or $90,000 - $150,000
