Job Summary:
ECS is seeking a System Engineer - Junior to support the Army National Guard's enterprise IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives in Fairfax, VA. The role involves assisting in the implementation of technical designs for enterprise systems, updating system documentation, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation of technical designs for enterprise systems.
• Update system documentation to reflect current configurations and changes.
• Support testing activities to ensure system functionality and performance.
• Conduct performance monitoring tasks to maintain system efficiency.
• Perform routine system analysis and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and configuration management standards.
• Contribute to maintaining secure and stable enterprise operations.
• Support system updates and document any changes effectively.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Clearance: Secret Eligible required
• U.S. Citizenship required
• DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 451-System Administrator at the Basic proficiency level
• Certifications (one or more required): A+, CND, Network+
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience supporting enterprise systems within DoD or Federal environments
• Experience in assisting with the implementation of approved technical designs and system documentation updates
• Familiarity with conducting routine system analysis and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of configuration management baselines and STIG requirements
Preferred:
• Clearance: Active Secret preferred
• Experience with DoDIN-connected infrastructures
• Familiarity with cybersecurity policies and procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with secure and stable enterprise operations
• Knowledge of the ARNG or similar DoD environments
