Job description

For roles that are 100% remote or hybrid, you must have access to a reliable high-speed internet connection to support daily job responsibilities. Role Overview

The Business Systems Analyst Senior serves as a SME providing ongoing business analysis support in the multi-domain (Member, Provider) Master Data Management (MDM) and Enterprise Reference Data Management (ERDM) area.

Work Arrangement

  • This is HYBRID position.  Associate will work in our beautiful Ellis Preserve office located in Newtown Square, PA at least three (3) days per week, including core days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Leads the requirements management process for change requests/enhancements or projects pertaining to MDM/ERDM area
  • Provides clear documentation on business & technical requirements, source to target mappings, data specifications, business rules, and process flows relevant to MDM/ERDM initiatives
  • Perform hands on data analysis using SQL, Databricks, and related querying tools to validate data, research & troubleshoot data discrepancies, conduct root cause analyses and gap analysis
  • Act as liaison between the business and IS technical teams, leading the definition of functional requirements, explaining changes to business processes, and continually communicating status. Serves as an expert advisor to the IS team regarding the business to ensure the effort meets business needs
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process/system enhancement/improvement and brings to the attention of management and business, as appropriate.  Identifies potential opportunities to automate existing processes
  • Provides accurate time/resource estimates for assigned tasks by proactively managing ambiguous business needs and scope creep
  • Reviews test plans and scripts for completeness and accuracy, and conducts integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving skills, including evaluating alternatives, recommending solutions, and articulating impacts
  • Track the status of all service requests, open incidents and change tickets from initiation through resolution, adhering to strict SLA timelines
  • Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders and technical counterparts
     

Education and Experience

  • At least five (5)+ years in business systems analysis, with specialized experience in Master Data Management 
  • At least five (5)+ years in a healthcare environment
  • Must have MCO/ Payer experience on Provider contracting & maintenance, Member enrollment services 
  • Previous experience working with FACETS claims system preferred
  • Proficiency in data analysis using SQL, Excel and experience with MDM tools (e.g Informatica, Reltio, SAS DataFlux)
  • Knowledge of MDM concepts like defining match-and-merge rules, survivorship criteria, and validation logic to maintain golden records
  • Ability to function independently with limited work direction 
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to translate technical concepts for business users and vice-versa
