This is a hands-on, analytically rigorous role supporting Suffolk's innovation and technology strategy across both the Suffolk enterprise and Suffolk Technologies. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Strategy and working closely with the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Transformation, the Associate will support strategic initiatives that sit at the intersection of construction, technology, AI, and venture capital.
The Associate will contribute to enterprise initiatives such as Jobsite of the Future and the AI Studio, supporting assigned workstreams, conducting research and analysis, and helping prepare the materials that inform senior leadership decisions.
This role is designed for an early-to mid-career professional who is eager to learn, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to build a foundation across corporate strategy, emerging technology, and venture capital. The Associate will manage discrete workstreams independently while receiving direction and coaching from the Senior Manager and CTO.
This role requires an on-site presence 4 days a week in our amazing Boston office - which offers free parking, a free on-site gym and cafeteria and other perks that make for a great culture and unique employee experience!
Responsibilities
  • Track and maintain program workplans, milestones, and dependencies across key technology initiatives (e.g. Jobsite of the Future, AI Studio, 100 Mag, Everyday AI, etc.) to keep execution on schedule.
  • Manage governance cadences, including preparing agenda packages, capturing decision logs, and tracking cross-functional action items to completion.
  • Support cross-functional technology programs from strategy through execution by coordinating workplans, milestones, governance, dependencies, and success metrics, while tracking risks and preparing updates to keep senior stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Draft recommendations and help frame trade-offs for leaders on key initiatives.
  • Conduct market research, competitive scans, and technology landscape assessments to evaluate emerging contech, proptech, and AI solutions.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the development of business cases, trade-off frameworks, and ROI models for new technology investments.
  • Draft executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, and dashboards that synthesize complex technical and operational updates for senior leadership.
  • Synthesize input from cross-functional teams into clear, structured narratives and visual decks for governance and review meetings.
  • Partner with stakeholders across construction operations, technology, and Suffolk Technologies to gather operational requirements and support smooth project rollouts.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks or delivery risks within assigned workstreams and proactively flag them to the Manager with proposed solutions.

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in technology program management, business operations, tech implementation, or innovation delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus- but not required.
  • Genuine curiosity about and working knowledge of AI, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in construction, real estate, venture capital, or AI / technology a plus- but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hypothesis-driven mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior audiences.
  • Comfort working with AI-powered tools and data platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, and Microsoft Copilot).
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to get the job done.

If you're excited about reshaping the future of the built environment through cutting-edge technology and innovation, we'd love to hear from you.
