Fuyao Automotive North America Incorporated (FANA) is in the general warehousing and glass manufacturing industry in Plymouth MI. We provide automotive glass for the North America market and currently have glass manufacturing relationships with some of the top automotive manufacturers in North America including GM, Honda, Chrysler, Kia, BMW and Hyundai. We operate several production lines for a variety of vehicle models from each of these automotive manufacturers. The position is hiring for Fuyao Glass America - South Carolina Factory in Fountain Inn SC.

Product Engineer

The purpose of this position is to function as a Product Engineer as part of triangle team. This position requires a knowledgeable and committed professional who is self-directed with a strong sense of responsibility for his/her work. This person has strong engineering skills, organizational skills and the ability to comprehend a total business situation, acting quickly, effectively, and prudently to enhance customer and Fuyao’s value.

Essential Functions
1. Analyze OEM drawings and quotations, design and develop process flow charts, engineering requirements, manage APQP files.
2. Evaluate customer engineering changes, change tools and documents, manage the engineering changes.
3. Plan and define new products, convert to company documents and standards.
4. Organize the production team and follow up with the reviews and inspections.
5. Develop the tool from design until buy off, including molds/Assemble fixtures/Checking fixtures.
6. Develop the process, track open issues until being fixed.
7. Improve the manufacturing process and monitoring the process flow chart.
8. Follow up in OEM plants related to products functionality, improve the parts to meet with customer expectation.
9. Assist in the Support activities for all phases of prototype, pre-production and production start-up through vehicle launch, plus 3 months.

1. Serve as a coach and mentor for this position in the department.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Skills
• Mechanical Bachelor degree is required
• Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) Stations (CATIA V5 or UG NX )
Preferred Education and Experience
• Associate in Engineering or Engineering Tech. with one + years’ experience in automotive body/component development
