Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will document the company’s financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and manage payroll. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. 

Responsibilities 
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules.
  •  Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 
  •  Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger analysis. 
  •  Prepare journal entries and month-end/year-end closing activities. 
  •  Assist with audit engagements, including testing transactions and preparing audit workpapers. 
  •  Support tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, and housing entities. 
  •  Review invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy. 
  •  Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions. 
  • Prepare schedules and reports required by management and clients. 
  •  Assist clients with accounting inquiries and requests for financial information. 
  •  Ensure compliance with internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  •  Maintain organized electronic and physical client files. 
  •  Participate in client meetings and communicate professionally with clients and team members. 
  •  Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  •  CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification is preferred. 
  • 0–3 years of accounting, audit, or tax experience. 
  •  Public accounting experience is a plus.
Required Skills
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
  •  Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Yardi, or similar) is preferred. 
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
