Job description

Graduate Assistant – Sports Information
Department: Athletics
Location: Columbia, MO
Type: Staff, Part-time
Pay: $15 - $15 per hour (Pay range may vary based on geographic location)
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Job Summary: The Sports Information Graduate Assistant will provide overall support to the Columbia College athletic program.
  • Assist Associate Director of Athletics with all facets of the athletic program.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
    • Assist in regular updating of the Cougar website
    • Coordinate production of athletic printed promotional and game-day materials
    • Coordinate in-game, seasonal and career statistical upkeep for all programs
    • Assist in national statistical reporting to the conference and national office
    • Keep accurate historical archives for all programs
    • Assist in production of pre- and post-game press releases for distribution
    • Assist in promotion of department on various social media sites.
    • Assist with projects and ventures for the Cougar Club and Scholarship Fund.
    • Be supportive of all athletic teams and athletic department personnel.
    • Assist in local and national award nominations for students and staff
    • Record, edit and produce various video clips.
  • Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of NAIA rules and maintain the integrity of the athletic program through the appropriate application of these rules.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must be accepted in to the Graduate Program at Columbia College.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a college environment
  • Photoshop or similar
