The Business Systems Analyst / IT Systems Specialist is responsible for analyzing business processes, supporting enterprise systems, and ensuring reliable communication technologies across the organization. This role serves as a liaison between business units and IT while also contributing technical support in networking and Cisco-based telephony environments, including high-volume call center operations.


Essential Functions


Business Analysis & Process Improvement:

· Work with business units to gather and document requirements, workflows, and system needs

· Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications

· Identify opportunities to improve processes and system efficiency


Systems & Application Support:

· Support, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise applications

· Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and integrations

· Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams


Telephony & Unified Communications Support:

· Assist in administering Cisco-based telephony systems, including VoIP and call center platforms

· Support call flows, IVR menus, call queues, and user configurations

· Troubleshoot voice and communication system issues to ensure up time


Network & Infrastructure Support:

· Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and performance issues

· Assist with network documentation and infrastructure support tasks

· Collaborate with network administrators on system reliability and performance


Cross-Functional IT Support:

· Provide backup support across IT functions, including service desk and system administration

· Participate in IT projects, deployments, and system enhancements


Documentation, Training & Compliance:

· Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes

· Provide user training and support for enterprise systems and communication tools

· Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience


· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business

· A minimum of three (3) years of experience administering Cisco telephony platforms in an enterprise or public-sector environment.

· Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business and technical requirements

· An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Preferred Certifications

· Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Collaboration

· Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) – Collaboration

· Cisco Certified Specialist – Collaboration Core

· CompTIA Network+

· ITIL Foundation (preferred)
