Job Description

What you get to do in this role:  

The Associate Solution Consultant is a hands-on technical consultant with the ability to deliver and position ServiceNow's project and portfolio management solutions while achieving quarterly and annual sales objectives for an assigned territory.    

  • Partner with the Commercial sales team to qualify customer needs through discovery, surfacing pain points around project visibility, portfolio prioritization, resource contention, team collaboration, and technology alignment. 

  • Participate across the sales lifecycle on acquiring new customers, from initial qualification to close 

  • Demonstrate the product, both standard and tailored to prospects and existing customers 

  • Generate product demo scripts and scenarios and maintain demonstration environment(s) 

  • Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with that demonstrate measurable outcomes across SPM, CWM, and EA use cases 

  • Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents with compelling, technically accurate solution narratives 

  • Stay current on product developments/releases to a level required for demo and POC/POV 

  • Deliver standard and tailored demos spanning SPM (PPM, Agile, Resource Management, Demand Management, Investment Planning), CWM (project workspaces, task management, team collaboration), and EA (capability maps, application portfolios, technology roadmaps).  

  • Build and maintain demo environments, scripts, and scenarios that reflect real-world customer workflows and business outcomes across the PM product suite. 

  • Stay current on competitive analyses and understand differentiators between the company and its competitors 

  • Understand business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, and security  

  • Act as the ServiceNow Portfolio/Project Management subject matter expert at executive briefings, marketing events and customer advisory sessions 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have: 

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. 

  • 1-2 years of experience in Solution Consulting, Sales Engineering, or a similar presales role; exposure to project management, portfolio management, or collaboration tools strongly preferred.  

  • Familiarity with project and portfolio management concepts including PPM, Agile delivery, resource planning, demand management, work management, and enterprise architecture. 

  • Ability to actively listen to customer requirements and translate complex business challenges into compelling solution narratives across SPM, CWM, and EA.  

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly and independently.  

  • Eagerness to develop deep expertise across the PM product suite and grow into a specialist SC role.  

  • Proactive and self-directed - able to prioritize, execute, and deliver without constant guidance.  

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a focus on customer storytelling for both technical and business audiences.  

  • Proven ability to manage commitments with integrity and attention to detail across multiple concurrent engagements. 

Bonus if you have: 

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SPM, CWM, or Enterprise Architecture modules.  

  • Experience in IT governance, enterprise Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), PMO environments, or enterprise architecture practices (TOGAF, ZACHMAN).  

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), PMP and/or SPM/EA-related certifications.
