Job description

We areย seekingย aย skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team in developingย cutting-edgeย geospatial analysis, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and visualization microservices to support mission-focused systems. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, andย maintainingย scalable and performant Java-based microservices that interact with both relational and NoSQL databases. Your work will contribute to enhancing the capabilities of ourย geospatial data processing and visualization tools, enabling better decision-making for mission-critical applications.ย You willย beย responsibleย for:ย 

  • Designing, developing, andย maintainingย high-performance Java microservices with a strong emphasis on geospatial functionality.ย 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust and scalable software solutions.ย 
  • Leading the technical design and implementation of geospatial features, ensuring alignment with overall architecture and missionย objectives.ย 
  • Working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to gather requirements andย provideย technicalย expertiseย during the planning and execution of projects.ย 
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.ย

  • Experience with cloud-based development and deploymentย 
  • Solid understanding of database design and optimization for geospatial data.ย 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.ย 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.ย 
  • Leadership experience in guiding and mentoring development teams.ย 

The estimated salary range for this position is between $150,000.00 and $210,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package.
