Software Test Engineer
As a Software Test Engineer at Lionbridge Games, you'll be an essential part of our mission to deliver epic gaming experiences. Bring your unique skills to help us keep our games at top-notch quality.
What You Will Do:
  • Play assigned game(s) to completion.
  • Document glitches, bugs, and inaccuracies in specified bug tracking database.
  • Execute pre-written test cases.
  • Rate and/or recommend games, game additions, or modifications.
  • Analyze test results, bugs, and usability and contribute to existing testing content documentation.
  • Prepare Test Plans, Test Cases based on client specifications, and prepare reports.
  • Serve as a technical lead contributing to test team.
  • Assist in test environment setup and teardown.
  • Assist in coaching junior staff by helping them to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the client and will work with the client to prioritize testing requirements.
  • Be responsible for informally leading a test team on a variety of projects.
  • Document the basic user level manual, systems manual.
  • Provide feedback on progress and professional growth to team members as well as management.
  • Continuous striving for improvement in personal knowledge of testing practices and relevant hardware

To Be Successful You Will Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in game testing.
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, creativity, efficiency, attention to detail, and good work organization.
  • Strong academic or practical knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, software testing standards, strategies, and the software development cycle.
  • Adept with writing detailed concise bug reports.
  • Proven experience executing test cases; drafting and managing test cases for one or more features.
  • Experience with industry standard test software such as JIRA, TestRail, Confluence, or equivalents.
  • Experience running build files with software suites such as Visual Studio.
  • Practiced and analytical problem-solving approach.
  • Preferred higher education in technology.
