ENSCO Avionics is looking for software test engineers to support the verification of a UAS platform, Activities will include testing Flght Software, Mission Autonomy software, Ground Control station, networked/distributed components. Tests will be performed in Hardware in the Loop and Software in Loop environments.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience executing software and/or system-level test activities in aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, or embedded system environments
  • Knowledge of software test methodologies including:
    • Verification & Validation (V&V)
    • Regression testing
    • Functional and integration testing
    • Test case and procedure development
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Technical requirements
    • Interface specifications
    • Software/system documentation
    • Test procedures and system architectures
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Experience documenting test execution results, discrepancies, and defect reports
  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams including software, systems, manufacturing, integration, and program management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience supporting unmanned systems, autonomy platforms, aerospace, or defense programs
  • Experience supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL/HIL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) environments
  • Experience supporting flight test or field integration activities
  • Familiarity with applicable aerospace and defense standards including:
    • DO-178C
    • DO-254
    • MIL-HDBK-516C
    • MIL-STD or equivalent frameworks
  • Experience testing embedded or distributed systems
  • Experience supporting first-of-type system integration and fielding activities
