Job description

The Charleston, WV office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc., is seeking a Senior CADD Technician, with at least 10 years of bridge engineering drafting experience.
What We're Looking For
  • Associate's degree in engineering Drafting and Design (Preferred)
  • CADD Technician with a minimum of 10 years of bridge engineering drafting experience. WVDOH bridge experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of MicoStation drafting software
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
  • Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
  • Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills relevant to assignments.
  • Ability to provide technical and work process training, direction, or guidance to other drafting staff.
What You'll Do
  • Establishes and manage CADD work, plans, and special assignments.
  • Train and mentor less experienced staff and technicians.
  • Lead development of project plan deliverables for transportation projects such as bridges and highways.
  • Create original drawings and designs; layout complete plan sets independently.
  • Coordinate drafting efforts for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Calculate quantities, including reinforcement, with limited direction.
  • Review the work of other drafting staff to ensure satisfactory completion, correct representation, and adherence to the WVDOH's standards.
  • Acquire and apply new knowledge to assignments and tasks.
  • Maintain technically current methodologies.
