Job Description: 

 

As a Sr Associate, Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of software interfacing with targeted hardware. You will be responsible for designing the software per requirement documents and system level design documents.  There will be a focus to interface with the test engineers to influence test automation.

The Agile Development Group (ADG) division specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions:

 

  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the targeted platform.

  • Proficient in C++, C#.

  • Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces and applications between hardware, firmware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.

  • Investigate root cause of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team.

  • Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test.

  • Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.

  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.

  • Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field 2 years prior engineering experience OR 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior engineering experience OR in lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior engineering related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in computer/software engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years C++ or C# development in a professional environment.
  • Active US Secret Security Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Modern C++, C#, Python, and bash.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban development processes and procedures.
  • Familiar with containerized development and tools. like Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm in a Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps standards and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Experience with Doxygen, LaTex, SonarQube, and vcpkg is a plus.
