Purpose

  • Mentor and coordinate the work of the ESB Software Engineer(s), including existing staff and future Phase hires.

Cross-Platform Coordination

  • Partner with the Camunda Software Architect to define clear boundaries between orchestration (Camunda) and integration (ESB) responsibilities.
  • Support SWFTx streaming initiative dependencies and EDW integration touchpoints, coordinating with the SWFTx Lead Software Engineer on shared timelines.
  • Own incident escalation and root-cause resolution for ESB-related production issues.

Planning & Governance

  • Participate in capacity planning for the Enterprise Pharmacy Systems tower alongside the Camunda and SWFTx leads.
  • Contribute ESB standards to the shared architecture governance model maintained by the Principal Architect.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead capacity.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and ESB/message broker platforms (e.g., BizTalk, MuleSoft, or comparable).
  • Strong SQL and .NET skills, with hands-on API development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading other engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Camunda or other workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Healthcare or specialty pharmacy systems experience.
  • Experience with Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, or other cloud messaging infrastructure.
