The Role You'll Play to Create Success

We are happy to announce a full-time Senior Software Developer position filled with many exciting opportunities! In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the mission of FrankCrum by supporting and maintaining various reporting-based software applications and systems. This includes developing .NET web applications used in the PEO and Payroll space.

Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrates proficiency with AI assisted development tools (such as Claude Code or equivalent) and applies them effectively within established team standards and security guidelines.
  2. Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains enterprise software applications using Microsoft .NET technologies and related development frameworks.
  3. Collaborates with business analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions.
  4. Develops technical designs, application architecture, and software specifications that align with business and technology standards.
  5. Participates in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  6. Performs code reviews and promotes coding standards, security best practices, and software quality across the development team.
  7. Collaborates with QA, Infrastructure, Production Support, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable application delivery and system performance.
  8. Identifies technical risks, researches emerging technologies, develops proof of concepts (POCs), and recommends innovative solutions.
  9. Troubleshoots complex production issues, serves as an escalation point for technical support, and mentors junior developers.
  10. Participates in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  11. Supports application security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of software development principles, object-oriented programming, application architecture, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft development technologies including C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL Server, RESTful APIs, and modern web technologies.
  3. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
  4. Skill in analyzing business requirements, designing scalable software solutions, and developing secure, high-quality applications.
  5. Skill in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex application, system, and production issues.
  6. Skill in communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders while building collaborative working relationships across teams.
  7. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while exercising sound judgment and meeting project deadlines.
  8. Ability to mentor team members, adapt to changing technologies and business priorities, and promote continuous improvement and software development best practices.
  9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  10. Five (5) years of experience with designing, developing, testing, and supporting applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  11. Experience developing applications using C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL Server, RESTful APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks such as React or Angular.
  12. Experience working within Agile development environments and using source control and project management tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  13. Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, relational databases, secure coding practices, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  14. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex application issues, develop scalable software solutions, and communicate technical concepts effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  15. Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to technical design and solution architecture is preferred.
