The Impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of IT CSS-Equities Delivery team, the Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and implement automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, create, maintain, and implement end-to-end test scenarios / cases for modernization initiatives ensuring extensive test coverage of critical business flows with all upstream & downstream touch points
  • Design, develop, Integrate, and execute automation suites of critical business end-to-end flows for reusability and quicker response to post-production issue testing
  • Understand business requirements, application functionality, release scope, and system integration specifics
  • Identify & resolve defects and improve the overall software testing process
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) processes
  • Know the latest with new software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
  • Understand and apply industry-specific guidelines & standards
  • Understand and articulate the business and the value adds
  • Play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete results
  • Coordinate with testing partners for cross-application and cross-business testing scenarios

Qualifications:
  • Proven min experience of 5-7 years with automated functional and integrated tests
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, and/or a related field

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination
  • Strong experience with automated testing
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Databases and SQL preferred
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end integration testing, smoke testing, functional, and non-black box testing
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools
  • Hands on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Java / Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. as well as CI/CD technologies (e.g. Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git, Jira etc.)
  • Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Expert and hands on with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/ DB2/ Snowflake)
  • Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
