Torch Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Administrator, Journeyman within the Global Force Management- Data Initiative (GFM-DI). The Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFM DI) is a Joint Staff and OSW initiative to standardize force structure data, making it visible, accessible, and understandable across the DoW. This position supports AFLCMC/GBB. Duties & Responsibilities: • Provide systems administration support which comprises a multitude of analysis, procedural competency, and process improvement strategies with increasing levels of responsibility. • Provide system configuration and daily operations. • Provide system optimization and resource utilization. • Monitoring and maintaining Amazon Web Services and Atlassian Toolsuite. Required Qualifications: • US Citizenship. • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, with 3 years' experience of which must be in the DoW. • OR, 7 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 5 years' experience of which must be in the DoW. This includes, but is not limited to: Hands-on experience administering systems in AWS GovCloud or AWS commercial environments, including: o EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail. o Security group and network configuration. o Backup, patching, and system hardening. • Experience supporting GitLab (self-hosted or cloud), including: o CI/CD pipeline configuration. o Runner management. o Repository access control. • Strong understanding of Linux system administration (RHEL, Amazon Linux, or Ubuntu). • Experience with infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar). • Experience supporting secure software development environments and enforcing DoW cybersecurity controls. Cloud & DevSecOps Skills: • Experience with AWS GovCloud, cross-account roles, and secure data flows. • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD security scanning, including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and container scanning. • Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment. • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) or other orchestration platforms. • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and DoW cloud security requirements. Data & Integration Skills (GFM-DI Relevant): • Experience with data validation, transformation, and standardization workflows. • Familiarity with structured data formats (XML, JSON) and API-based data exchange. • Understanding of authoritative data sources (ADS) and enterprise data pipelines. Certifications: • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate. • AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator. • Linux+ or RHCSA. • GitLab Certified Associate. • ITIL Foundation. Mission & Environment Experience: • Prior experience supporting Air Force enterprise systems, ACAT programs, or sustainment environments. • Experience working in agile development or DevSecOps teams. • Strong documentation skills for cloud architectures, system configurations, and operational procedures.
