Job description

Senior Construction Project Engineer – Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

RQ Construction is looking for experienced Senior Construction Project Engineers to become part of our Field Operations team in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. This position is centered heavily on quality control and provides the opportunity to work directly with experienced Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCMs), gaining valuable hands-on experience while helping execute the project's overall quality program.

The selected candidate will support active military construction projects in Aguadilla. This is a full-time, on-site position. Candidates already located in the area are preferred; however, qualified candidates who live outside the region may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual salary: $60,000–$75,000, based on experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required. Equivalent industry experience and training may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet-based tools.
  • Experience with construction/project management software such as Primavera P3/P6, Oracle, BIM, Revit, or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications required; training may be provided.
  • LEED Green Associate (GA) credential preferred.
  • Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) certification preferred.
  • Prior experience working for a general contractor is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required.
