Job description

Adecco Staffing is working with a leading manufacturing company in Devens, MA to bring on an experienced Senior Automation Engineer on a direct hire basis. This company offers a collaborative work environment, cutting-edge manufacturing technology, and excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement. This is fully on site in Devens.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 9-5
Pay: $105,000 -145,000 annually
Location: Devens, MA

Job Duties:
· Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing productivity and efficiency
· Develop, standardize, and improve tooling, fixtures, processes, and automation equipment
· Support production teams by identifying opportunities to improve product quality and throughput
· Design and implement process controls to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing waste
· Lead manufacturing engineering projects related to assembly, extrusion, molding, and single-use product lines
· Support new product introductions and ensure manufacturing readiness
· Troubleshoot and diagnose assembly equipment and production process issues
· Oversee procurement and implementation of tools, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment
· Create and maintain standard operating procedures and visual work instructions
· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
· Participate in root cause analysis, FMEA activities, and corrective action initiatives
· Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams on process improvements and site expansion projects
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required
· 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Automation Engineering experience required
· Experience supporting assembly and test processes in a manufacturing environment
· Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
· Experience with SPC, FMEA, DFMA, RCA, and quality improvement tools
· Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software
· Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage projects independently and work cross-functionally with production and engineering teams
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
