As an Associate Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will support the delivery of high-quality software solutions through test automation, validation, and continuous improvement practices. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and a passion for ensuring application quality through modern testing tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts for web-based applications
  • Build and enhance UI test automation frameworks using Playwright
  • Utilize Jira Xray for test management, defect tracking, and reporting
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate business and technical requirements
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
  • Support regression, integration, and functional testing efforts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage
  • Ensure alignment with PNC's SDLC and quality engineering standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Jira Xray for test management
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience building or executing UI tests using Playwright
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle concepts
