Job Overview

The Site Merchandising Associate supports site operations, testing, and merchandising functions. They enhance the success of Macys.com by partnering with business and support teams to ensure flawless site execution and the launch of new features and system enhancements. The Site Merchandiser devises and recommends digital strategies to maximize the online assortment and drive site traffic.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure data consistency across all customer touchpoints and devices. Establish best practices based on competitive landscape and assist in promotion execution, brand shop execution, and facet and browse optimization.
  • Optimize product detail pages, including size and fit information, attribution, tagging, page layout, images, reviews, and CGC.
  • Manage taxonomy optimization, including header fly-outs and left-hand navigation. Collaborate with SEO and UX teams to develop best practices.
  • Optimize on-site search by addressing failed search terms and acting on trending phrases and key brands.
  • Enhance event execution by optimizing promo codes, PWPs, GWPs, sequencing, and boosting.
  • Drive affiliate and SEM performance through weekly submissions of top-performing offers.
  • Identify online opportunities to increase sales, conversion, and profit performance.
  • Collaborate with merchant teams to understand business strategy, objectives, and priorities.
  • Prepare and present quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to optimize taxonomy and search strategies, including competitive deep dives. Provide insights and strategies for the best online experience.
  • Foster strategic cross-functional relationships with merchants, marketing, creative production, production, and internal site merchandise partners to leverage resources and establish best-in-class event execution.
  • Seek opportunities to grow the business by improving the customer shopping experience through innovation and competitive analysis.
  • Work with business intelligence, experimentation, and relevancy teams to understand and develop comprehensive strategies for site audits.
  • Assist with training and developing assistants and trainees on the team. Share best practices across site merchandising to support overall team growth.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Data Analysis: Work with business intelligence, experimentation, and relevancy teams to understand and develop comprehensive strategies for site audits.

Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects, identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time, and communicate timelines to team members.

Product/Project Ownership: Ability and desire to take ownership of products and projects.

Creative and Strategic Thinking: Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of MS Office computer programs is required.

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years of direct experience. 
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
