Job description

Description:

Beauty Industry Group is seeking an Associate Site Merchandiser to support the execution of online merchandising strategies driving revenue growth, optimizing the customer journey, and enhancing search and discovery.

This role will partner closely with marketing, planning, creative and eCommerce teams to ensure compelling site experiences that convert. The ideal candidate will combine analytical skills with a keen eye for presentation and customer behavior. This role will support our Keystone brands.


This role is hybrid in our Los Angeles office with a hybrid schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite.


Base: $70,000-$75,000 (based off experience)

Bonus Eligibility: 5% Annually


Responsibilities:


Merchandising

  • Execute site merchandising strategies across homepage, category pages, landing pages, and promotions. Manage product launches, seasonal updates, and promotional periods while supporting campaign set ups and onsite storytelling.
  • Maintain product categorization, taxonomy, assortment refreshes and site navigation accuracy. Ensure product content (imagery, pricing, attributes, titles, descriptions) is accurate and aligned with brand standards.
  • Partner with planning to adjust product placement based on stock levels and availability.

Search & Discovery

  • Optimize onsite searches, no results, sorting logic, and filtering functionality. Improve product discoverability through strategic product placement and navigation structure.
  • Support SEO best practices for category and product pages including partnering with technical teams to refine search algorithms and ranking rules.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cross-sell, up-sell, and personalization features.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor site performance metrics including conversion rate, AOV, bounce and abandon rates and demand by category and page.
  • Analyze product performance, promotion incrementality, recommend product placement adjustments and conduct A/B testing and interpret results to improve site performance.
  • Monitor competitive trends and benchmark site experience against industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with Shopify, Excel, and Google Analytics.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, able to identify opportunities, take initiative, and execute with minimal supervision.
  • Confident in working across multiple departments and managing multiple projects.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work across time zones as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
