Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Deliver promotional events and activities at customers' locations to increase brand awareness and sales of company products. This is a full time position, must be available weekends.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Create a fun environment at point of sales to attract customers and promote our products during special radio, TV, and store events.
  • Interact with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner to generate brand awareness to increase sales.
  • Engage and assist customers; influence customer to enter contests and participate on the company's social media outlets; promote customer participation in sharing pictures, videos, and recipes.
  • Prepare and demonstrate new and or promoted products to store customers through sample arrangements and by demonstrating recipes using company products.
  • Provide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products; use product slicer to fill orders and or provide samples to customers; complete order process for purchases.
  • Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayed.
  • Train and assist store brand representatives
  • Clean area and equipment as required by supermarket and local health code
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of sales experience

License/Certifications

  • Associates degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Fully fluent in English
  • Food product and or consumer packaged goods sales experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITITES (KSA's)

  • Flexibility to rotate stores and locations
  • Ability to travel to multiple supermarket locations
  • Food handler's permit
  • Driver's License which meets company requirements
  • Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance
  • MVR which meets Sigma driving standards with review by Talent & Culture
  • Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Fully fluent in Spanish
  • Proven ability to motivate self and others
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently
