Role Title: Chemistry Specialist


Role Type: Contractor

micro1 is engaging Chemistry Specialists to participate in a project supporting a leading customer in the scientific and research domain. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.


Scope of Work

  1. Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments to support product development, quality control, or process optimization.
  2. Design and interpret complex laboratory experiments involving chemical reactions, synthesis, and separation techniques.
  3. Document laboratory methodologies, data, and findings clearly and accurately, ensuring reproducibility and scientific integrity.
  4. Critically evaluate experimental outcomes to propose improvements or new investigative approaches.
  5. Collaborate and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats with project stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
  6. Translate intricate chemistry concepts and experimental results into clear, actionable information for non-specialist audiences.
  7. Contribute domain-specific expertise to enhance the training datasets and reasoning capabilities of AI systems.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Chemistry or closely related field.
  2. Extensive hands-on experience with wet lab techniques, experimental design, and instrumentation.
