Job description

Reporting to the Research and Development Manager, you will utilize your meat science expertise as part of the Refrigerated and Frozen Food Design Team, supporting innovation and margin expansion across brands such as Hebrew National, Odom's Tennessee Pride, Banquet Chicken, Banquet Brown 'N Serve, and frozen dinner protein components.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

Develop new products from concept development through successful commercialization
Design and conduct plant trials and support new product startups
Create and manage product development schedules to meet project timelines
Work with pilot plant equipment to support formulation and process development
Learn and use the online specification system and workflow processes
Design and execute experiments and prepare results for technical review
Conceptualize and develop new product prototypes
Drive product cuttings, plant trials, and testing activities

Ingredients Required for Your Success

Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field with coursework in meat science, including muscle biology, conversion of muscle to meat, and meat processing technology with laboratory experience
1+ years of food industry experience inclusive of internships
Knowledge of food product design, formulation, ingredient functionality and interaction, process design, product scaleup, plant testing, and commercialization
Understanding of food industry quality standards, food safety requirements, and United States Department of Agriculture regulations
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated skill communicating effectively and influencing crossfunctional partners to accomplish research goals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

Compensation

Pay Range:$59,000-$79,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
