Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in related field as required by individual clients
  • Valid ASCP or AMT certification required
  • In licensure states, Laboratory Licensure in appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state
  • 1 year of experience as a CLS / MLS / Med Tech
  • BLS certification
  • Generalist laboratory experience required
  • Phlebotomy required
  • Experience covering hematology/serology, chemistry/coag, microbiology, and blood bank required
  • Driver's license required at submittal
Assignment Details
  • Shift hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation required, including Saturday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM and Sunday on-call coverage
  • Holiday requirement applies
  • On-call requirement is at least once a week and one weekend per month, with occasional twice-weekly rotation
  • Call response time is 30 minutes
  • Charting system: EPIC
  • LIS system: Cerner
  • Equipment used includes SYSMEX, DIMENSION EXL, CEPHEID, ACL TOP350, TRIAGE
  • Teal scrub suit required
