About the Position
Ratio is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist in Biology to join a growing team of multidisciplinary scientists responsible for driving preclinical discovery efforts. The successful candidate will have strong interest and expertise working within preclinical oncology and pharmacology, with a well-rounded understanding of cancer biology and drug discovery techniques. The candidate will execute studies to advance preclinical biology and pharmacology in vivo and in vitro and effectively communicate their data. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and be skilled at independently executing studies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute in vivo pharmacology studies in cell line and patient-derived xenografts for compound evaluation.
  • Conduct mammalian cell culture and execute cell-based experiments for lead discovery and optimization.
  • Follow developed protocols and work with team to refine/advance new protocols and workflows.
  • Design and execute biochemical assays for compound characterization.
  • Assist in management of day-to-day laboratory and vivarium operations including maintenance of equipment, as well as reagent tracking, ordering, and receiving.
  • Analyze data, troubleshoot experimental issues, and summarize key findings.
  • Communicate results effectively with internal stakeholders and align on future directions.
  • Demonstrate experience working collaboratively within and across teams in a complex, matrix environment.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational skills and leverage team work to create innovative solutions and achieve common goals.
  • Continually learn and deepen his/her expertise in Radiopharmaceutical therapies and cancer biology.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry or a related field
  • 2+ years of industry experience including hands-on experience with in vivo techniques
  • Familiarity with or use of radioactivity or radioactive assays (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate candidly and openly
  • Demonstrated pursuit of quality and excellence in innovation and execution
  • Integrity, respect, and compassion for colleagues, collaborators, and the patients we serve

The annual base salary for this role is expected to range between $74,000.00 and $100,000.00. This range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, work experience, skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
