You will seek to build deep, consultative technical relationships with your customers, effectively becoming a trusted adviser. An SA is ideally positioned to understand the customer’s high‑level objectives and match these to Verizon solutions in order to satisfy business and technical requirements.

  • Being an integral part of a team to identify and qualify business opportunities and develop the strategy to resolve technical matters.
  • Recommending integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices.
  • Owning the technical relationship with Verizon customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof‑of‑concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
  • Working directly with customers to create solutions and use cases that leverage Verizon product integrations that generate business value.
  • Articulating the Verizon Enterprise vision on technologies and solutions towards the Client; positions Verizon Enterprise as thought leader on key technological developments.
  • Leading prioritization of Customer solution / technical requirements and champions resolution of solution / product gaps internally (also towards Product Groups).

What we’re looking for...

The Enhanced Collaboration Principal Sales Engineer role will be aligned to the Associate Director - Sales Engineer Role in the Central portion of the United States. This includes alignment to Sr Director for the Central region, supporting five client partners with a responsibility for 75 NASP assignments within the team. This Sales Engineer role will have responsibility in 2026 for $17.7M in wireless revenue and $2.1M in Bookings as well as significant growth in FWA, IoT, PWN/NHN, and WLN transformation. This Principal Sales Engineer is customer facing and is responsible for driving bookings, revenue and activations across our WLN and WLS portfolio including building/owning key customer relationships across key customers/opportunities. The metrics that this Principal Sales Engineer will be responsible for are: WLN Bookings, CS Revenue, Data Gross Add Value (FWA,MBB, IoT and One Talk Desk phones). Additionally this architect will drive our success on PWN and NHN opportunities. This Principal Solution Architect will focus on relationship development with IT and business leaders, to build Business Outcome focused solutions and initiatives leveraging Verizon capabilities. Also this individual will work closely with GID and SDE organizations within Verizon to pursue larger deals and RFPs. Primary domain strength in WLN or WLS is acceptable, as long as the candidate can demonstrate knowledge and willingness to ramp up on the less dominant areas. At a minimum, the role will require the individual to have WLN & WLS technology experience. Participation in sales stages 0-3 are critical, with support for later stages as well. Investment in early stages of the sales cycle to build solutions funnel, emphasizing use cases, business impact on designs to increase customer revenue, decrease customer cost, improve productivity, and reduce risk.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in the tech industry, pre‑sales, customer‑facing, consulting or other relevant technical experience.
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience architecting and developing LAN/WAN or large infrastructure and network solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Experience with networking concepts including: software defined networking, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of data and information security - especially as it relates to issues within businesses.
  • Experience in two or more of the following areas: Software Defined Networking (SDN), IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MA/MS degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  • Experience running multiple projects or deals under tight timelines.
  • Security, architecture, and industry certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Design or Network Associate, ITIL Foundations, or similar.
  • Experience implementing or designing two or more of the following: Data and IP Services Managed Operations; Security Services; Call Center Technologies and or IT Applications Management.
Where you’ll be working

In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in‑person training and meetings.
