Job Description
TITLE
Travel Experienced OR RN - Operating Room
SCHEDULE
On-call required: 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month (rotation dependent).
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Orientation: Reduced Non-Billable Orientation (0 hours vs. standard 40).
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required.
- Travel experience required.
- Compact license must be in hand at submission.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- Experience with perioperative nursing, blood product administration, peripheral IV starts, conscious sedation monitoring, laparoscopic and open procedures, total joint replacement, fracture reductions, wound management, urinary catheterization, specimen handling, infection control, and universal protocol/time-out.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the perioperative setting.
- Assist with surgical procedures and maintain sterile environment.
- Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and manage patient records using electronic medical record systems.
COMPLIANCE / NOTES
Background checks required.
Parking is free in any unrestricted space.
Mandatory commitment to work 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
Pre-start modules required (average 16 hours non-billable).
