Job Description:

We are seeking to hire an experienced Tax professional to join our Tax Standards, Quality, and Risk (SQR) team. SQR is responsible for educating and supporting tax professionals on professional responsibilities; developing and overseeing the delivery of tax learning content; maintaining and implementing internal Tax policies; administering the annual Tax Quality Review; maintaining and supporting the Tax contract library; supporting the Tax publications strategy; and supporting Tax personnel in risk identification and management.

SQR team members do not generally work directly with external clients. Travel may comprise up to 15% of your schedule. SQR scheduled work hours are generally consistent throughout the year with limited impact from tax deadlines.


As a Tax SQR Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform Tax quality reviews
  • Support the new client and engagement acceptance process
  • Support the development of policies and procedures relating to tax services
  • Develop and present educational materials to Tax personnel on various topics
  • Write technical documents and articles
  • Consult with Tax professionals on professional standards, contracting, and risk management issues
  • Partner with Tax Transformation to drive modernization of the Tax practice including processes, technology, and service delivery.
  • Liaise with other practice support areas including Learning, Firmwide Risk, Legal Counsel, and IT

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Have or be working towards CPA, JD, or other similar certification
  • At least two years of progressive experience in a public accounting firm
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate tax issues and rules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,400.00 - $145,400.00 per year. This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
