Security Clearance:
  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work directly under the Risk Management Coordinator, contributing to the development and execution of the program's Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Management framework.Your efforts will directly enhance program performance, strengthen acquisition decision-making, and help ensure the safety and readiness of our sailors.
Risk & Opportunity Management Support
  • Assist the Risk Management Coordinator in developing, updating, and maintaining the Risk and Opportunity Registers for the Frigate Program.
  • Support the identification, analysis, scoring, and mitigation planning for risks and opportunities across technical, programmatic, and business domains.
  • Perform data collection and analysis to help assess vulnerabilities and potential impacts to cost, schedule, and performance in accordance with DoD guidelines.
  • Prepare inputs for monthly RIO reports delivered to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager for PMS 515.

Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with government leads, and shipyard partners to gather risk information, track updates, and document risk actions.
  • Support coordination of working-level risk reviews.
  • Assist in preparing materials and documentation for Risk Management Boards.

Documentation & Training
  • Draft and maintain division-level addendums for the Risk Management Plan (RMP).
  • Support the creation of training materials that teach government personnel how to enter risks, score them, and manage mitigation actions.
  • Contribute to strategic development of RIO processes.

Experience Requirements:
  • 1-2+ years of experience in program analysis, project management, data analysis, risk management, or related work (DoD experience highly preferred).
  • Ability to analyze programmatic and technical information and clearly summarize findings.
  • Experience using MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with government and contractor personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business field OR
  • Associate's degree + 2 years of additional experience OR
  • High School Diploma/GED + 4 years of additional experience.
