The Electronics Test Technician is part of the production team and will tune and final test RF drivers and other electronic assemblies for use with specialty lasers. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, the ability to follow defined test procedures, and consistent execution in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for the testing and tuning of RF drivers used with molecular gas RF excited lasers.
  • Utilize measurement and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and network analyzers.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while adapting to changing products and priorities.
  • Assemble and test other electronic assemblies.
  • Provide feedback to improve tooling, setups, and processes related to testing specialty laser products and RF drivers.
  • Monitor and administer the company ESD program.
  • Contribute your expertise to continuous improvement and product improvement initiatives.
  • Assist other departments or teams when needed, demonstrating a collaborative and team-oriented mindset to help achieve the overall success of the company.
  • Perform quality work in a clean room and ESD controlled environment.
  • Ensure that all products shipped meet the highest quality standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Standard Job Requirements:

  • 3 yearsโ€™ experience in a test or technician role in high tech manufacturing or a similar service organization.
  • Associates degree in electronics technology, engineering technology, or similar fields of study.
  • Demonstrated ability to meticulously follow defined processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronics manufacturing practices.
  • Good hands-on skills for building, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Highly organized with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.

Highly Desirable Additional Skills/Experience:

  • Experience building, testing or using lasers would be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous job experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • An understanding of, and previous experience with RF power supplies and specialized equipment such as Bird or Impedance monitors.
  • IPC and J-STD soldering certifications.
  • Solid understanding of physics would be a benefit.
