Job Summary

We are seeking a polished and detail-oriented Restaurant Manager to join the team at Marcel, the new cultural destination from Roman and Williams in partnership with Sotheby’s, located in the iconic Breuer building on Madison Avenue. Marcel is more than a restaurant; it is a multi-faceted experience with multiple outlets. Together, these outlets form a destination where hospitality, cuisine, design, and art converge.

The Restaurant Manager will be a hands-on leader on the floor, ensuring that service is seamless, standards are upheld, and every guest interaction reflects the soul of Marcel. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in high-volume luxury dining, values old-school hospitality, and leads with composure, warmth, and attention to detail.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations within the restaurant and support service across multiple outlets as needed
  • Lead by example on the floor, embodying refined, gracious hospitality during service
  • Train, mentor, and support staff to uphold luxury service standards and detailed steps of service
  • Partner with the GM, AGM, and culinary leadership to align service with Marcel’s fine dining vision
  • Maintain guest relations with professionalism, handling concerns with discretion and solution-oriented leadership
  • Support financial performance through cost control, purchasing, and scheduling
  • Assist with private, semi-private, and hosted dining activations in collaboration with the events team
  • Ensure all safety, sanitation, and ServSafe standards are consistently maintained

What we’re looking for:

  • 2–4 years of fine dining restaurant management experience
  • Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge with an interest in pairing and luxury service
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume, detail-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a guest-first mindset
  • Experience with financial accountability, including scheduling and purchasing
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in alignment with hospitality operations
  • A passion for refined hospitality, precision, and creating memorable guest experiences
