Role Description

An Associate Research Consultantis responsible formanaging a portfolio of commercial real estate contacts and ensuring CoStar's property, listing, transaction, ownership, construction, and contact data is current,accurate, and complete. This role conducts daily outreach and investigative interviews with brokers, property owners, developers, investors, and other commercial real estate professionals to confirm market activity, capture missing information, and resolve data quality issues.

The Associate Research Consultant also supports client product adoption by helping clients understand CoStar and LoopNet functionality, reviewing listing performance,identifyingtraining needs, and partnering with Sales or other internal teams whenappropriate. In this role, the Associate Research Consultant uses approved technology and AI-enabled workflows to improve research efficiency while maintaining a high standard for source validation, data accuracy, and world-class customer service. By capturing thiscritical marketinformation and putting our clients at the center of all we do it enables our customers to makeinformedhigh impact business decisions.

This position is in office Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintainaccurateand complete property, listing, transaction, ownership, construction, and contact data across assigned markets and portfolios.
  • Proactivelyidentifyopportunities to improve data quality and market coverage within assigned markets.
  • Conduct high-volume(50+)daily inbound and outbound outreach with brokers, developers, investors, property owners, and other commercial real estate professionals to confirm listing availability, transaction activity, ownership, construction status, and other market-critical information.
  • Investigating new space listings, recentsaleand lease transactions, building ownership and construction in a market
  • Leverage approved AI tools and Research AI agents to support research workflowsthat improve efficiency and data quality, whilevalidatingoutputs against source materials and company standards.
  • Build andmaintainmutually beneficial relationships with clients and commercial real estate professionals through professional, customer-focused communication.
  • Support client onboarding, product adoption, product searches/functionality questions, listing performance reviews, and training requests in partnership with Sales when appropriate
  • Dissect trends and collaborate with regional-based teams to qualify data that will help tell the story of an entire market

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degreerequiredfrom an accredited, not for profit University or College
  • A track recordof commitment to prior employers
  • 8+ months' experience in a customer service environment
  • Microsoft Excel 365 experience isrequired
  • Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, and PT time zones
  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Natural curiosity, persistence, and ability to conduct thorough investigative research
  • Experienceutilizingand adopting AI tools, including Microsoft365 Copilot or similar AI-enabled workflows
  • Proven success performing to metrics or key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Experience communicating with internal business partners and external clients by phone
  • Be goal-oriented and manage multiple responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop and grow client relationships by conducting effective interviews with commercial real estate professionals, resulting in database updates
  • Customer-focused approach to tasks, including a drive towards partnering with clients
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as an individual contributor
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience within the commercial real estate industry
  • Experience anddemonstratedproficiencywith Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document research findings, client interactions, and data updates in internal systems.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company
