Job description

High-Autonomy Litigation Associate (Remote-Flexible SoCal)

Position: Litigation Associate (5+ Years Experience)

Location: Southern California (Remote-Flexible; Local to Downtown San Diego preferred, but open to LA, OC, Temecula/IE)

Practice Area: Boutique Defense (Real Estate & Business Litigation)

Practice Style: High-Autonomy, High-Growth Partnership Track

About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced litigator who feels capped by institutional big-firm bureaucracy? Or perhaps you are a successful solo practitioner looking to step back into a collaborative, highly lucrative team environment without sacrificing your autonomy and work-life balance?

We are a premier, AV-rated litigation boutique experiencing unprecedented demand. We are intentionally structured, close-knit, and completely focused on premium real estate and commercial litigation, representing prominent businesses, financial institutions, and property owners across California. Looking for Experienced Litigation Associates to join our ranks, take ownership of active cases, and fast-track toward a partnership stake.

What You Will Do

This is not a back-office paper-pushing role. You will be the point person running at least 3 major cases immediately.

  • Draft and argue substantive motions in court.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Attend court hearings and play an active, vital role in trial preparation and execution (2nd chair trial experience is highly valued).
  • Build direct, lasting consultative relationships with high-net-worth commercial clients and corporate decision-makers.

What We Look For

  • Experience: Ideally 5+ years of dedicated civil litigation experience, with a strong background in business, or real estate.
  • Capability: Proven ability to step in and manage a case load independently from inception through resolution or trial.
  • Location: Based in Southern California. While the position offers extensive work-from-home flexibility, proximity to our beautiful Downtown San Diego office is preferred for team integration, collaboration, and regional trial requirements.
  • Drive: An attorney looking for a definitive partnership track who values radical transparency, collaborative mentorship, and a culture focused on professional happiness.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 โ€“ $230,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Additional Performance Perks:

  • Robust, performance-tied Billable Hour Bonus Structure.
  • Lucrative 10% Origination Bonus on net fees earned from any clients you bring to the firm.
  • $105 monthly remote office/internet stipend.

Benefits

The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:

  • medical insurance (100% firm-covered options available)
  • dental insurance (100% firm-covered options available)
  • vision insurance (multiple flexible tier options available)
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Unlimited PTO policy
