Network Engineer AssociateLocation-RemotePosition Summary

The Network Engineer Associate supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity across the organization. This role assists with network operations, monitoring, and incident resolution while gaining experience with enterprise networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security using network management tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and hardware issues.
  • Support network upgrades, patches, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with user support requests related to network access and connectivity.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis activities.
  • Support implementation of network security controls and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Follow established operational processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  •  
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and access controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with wireless networking and cloud networking concepts.
  • Exposure to firewall and VPN technologies.
